Abstract |
This article has two objectives: (a) describe the steps and components underlying the sequential organization of acoustical stimuli, and (b) show the clinical implications of the theoretical aspects of auditory sequential organization. We propose a conceptual framework that illustrates the importance of perceptive and mnemonic processes in the recognition of the order of sequences of auditory elements. Perspectives for the rehabilitation of individuals with auditory sequencing problems are also addressed. |
